So, Last night went pretty well I guess. It took a little while to get started due to technical difficulties we were experiencing haha, but by the second song and all was going right it was really fun. We played a pretty good show, and more importantly we got to talk to some people about Christ. I still am deciding if I am definately staying with them or not, but they know that, so we’ll see what God has in store for me!
God Bless!
P.S. I still feel like crap…
So, this’ll be a quick post…I’m just writing to say….I HAVE MY FIRST SHOW TONIGHT!! It starts at 6:30pm I believe at The Space in Hamden, CT…. www.thespace.tk for directions and more information!
So I haven’t posted a lot lately. The holiday season has made me quite busy, so I haven’t had much time to get online. I haven’t gotten any further in reading that book either, probably because I’ve been busy haha. But I hope to soon. I have a meeting in like an hour with Donny and Mike to discuss the winter retreat, so it’ll be neat if we can finally figure out whats going on with it haha. Hmmm, what else….My allergies have been bugging out like crazy, I can hardly speak, and my nose is clogged…it stinks! I have my first show with this new band on wednesday at The Space in Hamden, so I’m praying I’ll be better by then or else I won’t be able to do it
Oh well thats it for now!
God Bless!
Merry Jesus’ Birthday!
I dunno if that is how you spell “eighth” but whatever. So, its been a while since I’ve posted anything, but like I said in the last post it’s been a little challenging for me to get online lately. I guess I’ll start from like last week. I’ve been just hanging out a lot with Bryan and my other friend Jake, which is kewl because I don’t see Bryan much because of college and I don’t see Jake much because I usually don’t hang out with him without Bryan haha. It’s been good times. We had a leader’s meeting thing last night that was pretty much awesome! We all went out to dinner and then Go-Karting, though I didn’t race because it was more money then I wanted to spend haha. But it was still pretty neat. Mike gave us all sweet books to read, I got Next Generation Leader:

Which is proving to be an excellent book! I’m excited to get further into it. As far as the tour, well I’m unsure what is going on. Everything was looking fine until they found out that the van they were supposed to use is no longer available for them. So, unless they find a van, the tour is a no-go. BUT that may work out for the best….depending on how my ‘talk’ with Mike goes this week haha! Well that is it for now!
God Bless!
I have been a little preoccupied for the last few days and haven’t had time to get online, so I’m writing here now. I’m now living at my friend Bryan’s house, though he doesn’t live here because he goes to school in New York. But this place has always felt most like home to me. He got home on Friday night, so when I got back home after LP and everything it was pretty kewl. We’ve been hanging out like non-stop haha. We got a Christmas Tree, shoveled the drive-way multiple times, and played a ton of video games. We bought that game Scene-It! for XBOX 360. It is amazing!!!! It is just a trivia game about movies and stuff, but it comes with four buzzers that also let you select the answer (a,b,x,y). I have won every single round we played…I guess all that time watching movies has paid off haha. I’m still waiting to here back from Mat (guitarist for Volumes) on when I should head up to MA. But I’m thinking it’ll either be this coming week sometime or next, but its kewl. Well, I’m done for now!
God Bless!
So, today Volumes has officially asked me to play bass for them on their tour! I’m pretty excited too…I talked to Mike about it and he said its kewl that I won’t be at LP for the few weeks that I’ll be gone. I don’t think it should be more than four weeks. I’ve been constantly listening to the songs they sent me so I can memorize how they go, when I wake up tomorrow I’m going to do my best to try and actually figure out the parts and play them…so that should be interesting. I was in a bit of a predicament before but I think it got resolved. I have a bass amp, and Brendan is letting me borrow his bass, but I don’t have a bass cab haha. BUT! I talked to my good friend Tom who plays bass for Palaris and he said that I can most likely borrow his cab, which is awesome because it is a top of the line bass cab haha, so I’ll be excited to use that! Here’s the lowdown of the plan that will most likely unfold:
I’ll move to MA for a week or so to practice with Volumes and better learn the parts
I’ll come home for a few days for Christmas
I’ll go back to MA to cram in some practices for the last week
I’ll leave on tour January Second (Show that night in NY) and pick up the bass cab and stuff
I’ll be home between January Twentieth and Twenty-Sixth
God is pretty awesome and I thank Him immensely for this opportunity!
Alright thats it for now!
God Bless!
Last night I had a long conversation with Ray, the drummer for Volumes, which was pretty awesome because he is an awesome guy and I don’t get to talk to him enough haha…It looks like they are pretty sure they want me to help out on tour, which means I have to talk to Mike about some things (yes, you Mike!)…Other than that, another friend asked me to join the new band he is forming haha, so I may do that in a few months we’ll see…Today is Brendan’s Birthday, thats neat. I hope I get to see him because he is my bro and I haven’t seen him in like forever haha..Well thats it for today, a nice short post!
God Bless
I know it is boring, but I think I’m just going to title all of my blogs with the number in which they are. That way, when I get up really high it’ll say like ‘Three Hundred and Thirty-First Blog’ I think that’ll be sweet. So tonight LP (the building) was shut down because of the snow. It was definately the best decision even though the snow ended at around 7:30 or so. I’m going to be finding a new place to live soon, it is the best decision for everyone, so it would be kewl if ya’ll could pray about that. Also I need a job haha. But! In the band department God is working pretty awesome. I met some phenomenal musicians that want to start a band in the same stylings as I want to play, though they aren’t Christians, maybe there is a reason for this that God has planned up. The drummer is a very nice kid, not to mention he’s already been signed to Epitaph Records and is friends with a lot of bands including, Paramore, Vanna, The Receiving End Of Sirens, and more…I’m pretty pumped to be doing this! Well, that’s the end of this post, stay good!
God Bless!
