John 9

I Read: John 9

Key Verse: John 9:7 “‘Go,’ he told him, ‘wash in the Pool of Siloam’. So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.”

My Reflection: I think this verse is sweet. Jesus tells the man to go and wash. The man instantly goes, without asking Jesus anything. Without freaking out the this random dude rubbed spit and mud in his eyes. Instead he obeys Jesus’ command right away, and because of his obedience is miraculously healed.

My Prayer: I pray that we can all be as obedient as this man. Think of the amazing things God would do in our lives if we just obeyed.

John 8

I Read: John 8

Key Verse: John 8:7 “When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, ‘If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.’”

My Reflection: This seems to be a popular verse, but I think it is so popular because of how relevant it is. We have all sinned, none of us are better than anyone else. It is not our place to judge others, the only one who can pass judgment is God, and we need to realize and accept that.

My Prayer: I pray that we can all indulge in this verse and take it to heart, that we can all love each other and not make judgments.

John 7

I Read: John 7

Key Verse: John 7:38 “Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.”

My Reflection: This verse is pretty kewl to me. It’s simple yet amazing, whomever believes in Christ will have living water, will never get thirsty again, will have life more abundantly. How is that NOT kewl haha

My Prayer: I just pray that everybody who has not, can come to know Christ more, and truly realize how incredible He and the life He offers is.

John 4

I Read: John 4

Key Verse: John 4:24 “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.”

My Reflection: I think this is an important verse. What I take away from this is that God is not a physical manifestation but omnipresent. Not only that but we, as His children, need to worship Him in all we do.

My Prayer: I pray that we can step up to this challenge. That we can give God more than we have and truly give Him praise in all we do.

John 3

I Read: John 3

Key Verse: John 3:19 “This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil”

My Reflection: This verse just makes me think of so many people I know. They constantly do things that are despised in society and not of God overall, and because of this they do all they can to stay from the light. If only they could see what the light truly has in store for them.

My Prayer: I pray for all of the for-mentioned people, and people I don’t know like that as well. I just pray they can see the light and how miraculous our God is!

Fourteenth Blog

So, Last night went pretty well I guess. It took a little while to get started due to technical difficulties we were experiencing haha, but by the second song and all was going right it was really fun. We played a pretty good show, and more importantly we got to talk to some people about Christ. I still am deciding if I am definately staying with them or not, but they know that, so we’ll see what God has in store for me!

Thirteenth Blog

Twelfth Blog

So I haven’t posted a lot lately. The holiday season has made me quite busy, so I haven’t had much time to get online. I haven’t gotten any further in reading that book either, probably because I’ve been busy haha. But I hope to soon. I have a meeting in like an hour with Donny and Mike to discuss the winter retreat, so it’ll be neat if we can finally figure out whats going on with it haha. Hmmm, what else….My allergies have been bugging out like crazy, I can hardly speak, and my nose is clogged…it stinks! I have my first show with this new band on wednesday at The Space in Hamden, so I’m praying I’ll be better by then or else I won’t be able to do it Oh well thats it for now!

Eleventh Blog

Well, I hope everyone had an awesome Christmas. I spent a bunch of time with family and friends so that was neat haha. I got some money and whatnot as far as gifts, and I got a scratch card that one me $5o! I just hugged my friend Heather for like 2 Minuets straight, no breaks…its nuts! Anyways, So I had that talk with Mike and it looks like some awesome things may be happening at LP shortly so I’m pretty pumped for that! Well, that’s it!
